Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI instances. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year award for all South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on major the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys.
