The following weeks, students all around joined Thunberg's #FridaysforFuture movements. Students took Friday off to protest global warming. Climate activists from across the globe coordinated the initial Global Strike for Climate in 2019. It was a huge success. Over 1.6 million people participated across 125 nations.
